Wells is going through the motions pretending he cares who wins in my view. Even if Hartlepool goes Tory as an MP, I cant see that making much difference to the relationship between the Lab/Con coalition at local level.

Iain Wright seldom got involved with the shambolic situation which developed at local level during his stint as MP. If the Tory gets elected I cant see him going anywhere near HBC.

He might crop up regularly in the metro-Mayors office though... 

The next 4 weeks could pan out in such extraordinary fashion. A Tory Teesside Mayor, 2 or 3 Tory MP's across the combined authority, a wrestling check out assistant in Westminster (doubt it but it could happen), Labour absolutely decimated at national level.

Crazy times.
