woo...it looks like the little accounts clerk thinks he has the solution.....he thinks the Hospital Trust should get a tax rebate

HOSPITAL trust bosses say no money has been lost on the re-sale of the new hospital land which cost £4.2m.

No loss was made, apparently ?

Surely if you pay out more than you get back, for whatever reason, that means no profit, according to my maths teacher no profit means LOSS.

Also a bit dubious that the value of the land hasn't risen in five years, looks like a bit of dodgy dealing with someone about to make a mint !

I'm not completely sure but the VAT paid when purchasing the land will most likely already have been re-claimed : https://www.gov.uk/vat-capital-goods-scheme-and-capital-assets

So not sure how they can try to reclaim it again as Wrighty Suggests ?
