Interesting post on CAB's Twitter account. I get the feeling, knowing that he's an avid reader of this forum (and just a little paranoid), that the post is actually aimed directly at you guys but read into it what you will.

SteveL - How did you manage to get access to CABs Twitter feed, I tried and it comes up as blocked, obviously he don't like members of the public knowing what he is up to?

Added to the folder. There are loads of him where you always see the right-hand side of his shirt hanging out down over his belly but most are too low res to be re-used.
See how he balloons out to fill his seat here and look at how tight his shirt is................

A rather fetching "Puce Suit" for "The Dear Leader" but whatever his other half wears he looks as though he doesn`t quite fit inside it.... apart from,"The Ceremonial Robes" in which he looks ever so handsome.

I think it must be a badge of office for Labour local politicians to be fat, whoops sorry, obese or very obese. I can only think of one who butts the trend in this town and that's  Jean. Robinson but does she exist or is she a facsimile! The whole sorry lot are not an advertisement for healthy living and yet we have entrusted them to look after OUR health. It must be a case of what I tell you to do rather than what I do.
It is not just confined to this town, just look at the old PCC, the Old hospital trust (Wallace springs to mind) et al.

SAB is only in his mid 30's and to get that fat so young is a really bad sign.

It seems the pigeon chest is a Labour trademark

'The Vision' seems to be growing by the day, from The Mail " Eight key areas will be part of the campaign to breathe new life and jobs into the town. They are the town centre, Jacksons Landing/Trincomalee Wharf and the marina, Church Street, Seaton Carew, the Headland, Wynyard, the Port and Queens Meadow."

Keep an eye on that 'Wynyard' one and remember how they managed to get Mandelson his Freedom of the Borough by riding on the shoulders of others.

You can read here how Ron Norman and his mates ran TDC into the ground and shredded all the documents so no one could  find out where all the money went:

Short version in the Gazette

Read the  silly claims being made in 1994:

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/whatevers-happened-to-hartlepool-a-new-historic-seaport-a-mall-with-versace-and-armani-a-marina-and-a-museum-designed-by-norman-foster-jonathan-glancey-meets-the-man-with-a-pounds-1bn-plan-for-teesside-1384314.html

We sit outside an 18th century tavern (or what looks like one). 'The tavern didn't exist a day before it opened', says Hall. 'We had a set designer fit it out in less than 24-hours'. Today, it is jammed full. 'It'll be more popular next year when we open the biggest and best bingo hall in the country here.' The quay is expected to attract half-a-million visitors in 1995.

'There's no attraction to match this within miles. You've got York Minster and the Norvik Centre, Durham Cathedral and Beamish Open Air Museum, and that's it. By December we'll have Jackson's Landing, a mall of between 25 and 30 big name designer shops - Armani, Versace, the lot, and eight class restaurants. They'll come from miles away to shop here.'

Will they? Hall cites the example of the designer shopping mall opened recently in Street, Somerset where coachloads of shoppers pile down from Liverpool, Manchester and the West Midlands every day.

'The other dock is the site of the new Imperial War Museum. It's by Sir Norman Foster. We've got him on a design and build contract so we can get it built and fitted out in 52 weeks. We're also building 800 new homes around the new marina. We've sold most of them. You tell me which are council flats and which belong to yachties. You can't, can you? I like to see everyone mixed together, real life coming back to the town.'

Although not quite yet. Towns do not grow or repair themselves quickly. The encouraging sign is that the marina, quay and mall are linked to the town centre, unlike, say, the new marina at Southampton. Duncan Hall and his team are learning from the mistakes of earlier development corporations.

And now we have the latest 'new dawn..............

for fawkes sake

Yes I'd say that sums things up quite nicely :-)
"Remember, remember the fifth of November.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot."

The top image is a photo and I tried to make the others match. They both have been stretched to make a more pleasing image and I have tried to line everything up
The photo is taken from a slightly different position than the artist impressions.

The Red Arrows remind me of the Niramax Logo.....................

There are supposed to have been two offers for the Jackson's Landing site since the council bought it and I did hear a whisper that one of them was from a NIRAMAX offshoot. No idea if it's actually true but it does make you pause for a moment. The new houses in Mainsforth Terrace are suppose to have some sort of connection with NIRAMAX.
