Will anyone be able to keep HTH up to date, as the count goes on?  :P

I can't wait to see the first 'Putting Hartlepool First' past the post!!  ;D  ;D  8)

C'mon guys, use your PDA's or whatever and keep us viewers in the loop.
I'll even forego Prisoner Cell Block H for it.   ;D

Am I allowed to text in there.

Straight Talking

Technically you are not supposed to transmit any information out of the counting room, prior to the declaration of votes per candidate.

However its difficult to police everybody when phones are mini computers these days

But if you get caught, out you go and ultimately you could get a fine.

The cost of having to re-run the whole election could be about 100K - But what the hell its only money.

The Great Dictator

Yeah, just be discreet.........Can you send results direct to HTH ?

christine blakey

If I am there, I will do so.

Straight Talking

Well that means that you will definitely be watched Christine.

Do you think that Mr. Devlin doesn't monitor this site.

TUT TUT.

I will leave it in Christines capible hands.

Good Luck Christine Thurday, David too..

The Great Dictator

Yes, best of luck to you..

for fawkes sake

What could possibly be wrong in texting results as they were announced. Obsessive secrecy by control freaks, that's all it is.
"Remember, remember the fifth of November.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot."

It would as simple to do as streaming the council meeting, so we can all see what they really get up to on our behalf.

That's not happening anytime soon either.

You can now film in some courts but not in the chamber at Hartlepool.

'But what the hell it's only money'...so states S.T.

Yes, meant tongue in cheek but in fact that encapsulates the ethos of labour;
It's only money'...and we don't have to pay for it.  :(
Nuff said.

Oh yes, the cakes are rising nicely..in case anyone was wondering!  :-*

marky

Good point. There's no reason why meetings couldn't now be broadcast even in 'voice only' form - open it up, I say.

They chatted about that a while ago and blew it straight out.

I wonder why!!

The Mail are on it..and good on em for it for being useful.

Straight Talking

Yes Perseus that is correct, but as the TV will be there to report the declarations, most people will already know anyway.
