Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

Mr H

shock and horror there is some rusty steelwork and handrail by the sea !!!

seeing as I am one of the few in the town who went to school, you'll find salt water does that  ;)

Silly post.

Yes you're right about the salt which is why any mariner (and any other coastal town) would tell you that it's especially important that metal surfaces are repainted frequently.

In the 20 years since the Marina was built, no metal surfaces have been repainted whether they be railings, power boxes, lampposts or other and in the case of the railings surrounding the Premier Inn, those railings never got beyond the red oxide undercoat stage.

In short, there has been no maintenance on the Marina since it was built. If you think that is an acceptable situation then you are as silly as your post.

Does the salt water make the bins overflow and the weeds grow out of control in the flower beds and block paving ?
