He wouldn't be able to claim benefit simply because of his councillor allowances and personal circumstances but it's academic anyway. There is no way his ego would allow himself to be seen in the Job Centre claiming anything. Didn't someone say that Christopher had first explained Stephen's situation by saying that he had been made redundant - not sacked.

Isn't there a fee of £1000+ to lodge a claim for unfair dismissal, payable if the claim fails. This is to prevent spurious claims. Since this was introduced last year the number of claims has dropped dramatically.

I for one hope the fee he has paid to have this waste of time tribunal go ahead is not been funded by the tax payer of Hartlepool.... Only time will tell...
