I know there was a lot of flack about Hartlepool Council moving back into the old registry office at a cost of £175.000 repair bill.

May I suggest using the Ward Jackson Park Lodge. It's a far more suitable setting for weddings with the Council Owned Cafe in the Park just yards away to hold a reception.

Durham Council have a similar building next to County Hall for this purpose and it works well.

It's just a thought.
