I'll just leave this here to provide readers with the same level of enjoyment I had from reading it

You missed the best bit, Shane.

Councillors John Hannon and David Williams have resigned from the Labour Group. Group and council leader George Dunning said: "It is always sad when people have to leave a political group.
"Cllrs John Hannon and David Williams struggled with the legitimate Labour Party rules and regulations and collective decision making."[/i]

Of course, they've only lost control because the local Tories vote - well, TORY.

That could never happen here  ;D
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

Well! What a surprise! Labour Cllrs wanting to buck the whip and the undemocratic rules of the Labour Party. Good luck to them and their supporters. It is a pity that more of them don't exist.

It seems that with the death of the English Communist Party they have taken over the Labour Party in the NE. Our Carl, a self-confessed Communist, is a prime example of this type.
