Title: That Unison Advert
Post by: The Shadow on April 21, 2012, 12: AM
I have just found myself highly amused by seeing an advert to the right for Unison with a picture of a loving mother kissing a baby stating
"Don't vote for cuts to public services on May 3rd, vote for the party that cares"

HTH - Sponsored by Unison and the Labour Party - You really couldn't make this sh*t up

You could.
I bet you could even send it to the Mail as a news item (with the byline Hans Christian Anderson) and they would print it!

I think you will find that HTH has no control over the third part adds that appear on the site.
That is why every time you surf the net those adds about Ladyboy Holidays in Thailand keep popping up!

The AdChoices icon appears on sites that use Google's AdSense program to show ads. While Google often shows you ads based on the content of the page you are viewing, we also show some ads based on the types of websites you visit, view, or where you interact with an ad or other Google product supported by Google's advertising services.

That the  best witty reply you could manage?
About the level of a schoolkid saying 'and you too'.
I despair at the low level of insult by some  here.

Anyway the adds are targetted by the cookies you download. If you look at bicyles one day then you are targetted by Halfords for months.
Same with the Ladyboys.........

Forum  adds.

I remember on another forum when a member posted complaining that every time he visited the site  pornographic adverts appeard for strange sexual products............I suspect he was suitably chastened when informed it was his browsing history that dictated the content of the adds!
Hence Ray Wells Shadow's problem with the Ladyboy images.......

I clearly am not living life to the full, as I have a May 3rd Unison advert on the right.
