A689 Autobahn

After yet another serious accident on the A689 between the  Lodge and Truro Drive this morning, (the second in a week), is it not time the council took a really long hard look at some traffic calming measures to stop the often dangerous and reckless driving on this stretch of road? The 40mph limit is a complete joke, ignored by at least 50% of drivers, and Truro drive traffic lights are like the start line at Santa Pod....Have the council forgot that this area is residential? It's only a matter of time before someone is going to be killed IMHO.
