The Street Pastors do a tremendous job with vulnerable people - in the past they've been in evidence at the local college Freshers' do. If the SCABs have met them it will most likely be something like that. And yes ... did spot the quip but Veuve Clicquot isn't the stuff of serious plonkies ...

That may be so but I saw them at work when violence was present and they made extreme efforts not to get involved or even acknowledge what was happening. They seemed more interested in proselytising than anything else.
