According to Dave (I'm voting against the 31% increase) Hunter, The Shades, owned by the Wilkies, (also owners of the Longscar) is about to be rescued by the Chair of Regeneration, Kevin Cranney.

"Dave Hunter Ok got some clarification on this, apparently Chair of Regen has utilised delegated powers in conjunction with Heritage England, to have HBC protect the building. The charge is then levied against the owners "

Now. Think Wilkies; then Think Cranney.

Now get yourself a very stiff drink.

hang on, you're saying that the people who let Morton get away with £400 Grand of unpaid business rates are going to recover money off the Wilkies?  ;D ;D ;D  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

no I'm not saying it; Dave Hunter is - the guy who bottled it on the 31% rise when he received an icy-cold glare from CAB. He's been listing all of his achievements on Facebook and has decided that he needs to get a life.

What he really needs to get is a pair of balls.

A few months back, there was (as far as I remember) some scaffolding erected at The Shades.  I remember thinking at the time..''There's a rabbit off here!''.    What was done remains a mystery...if indeed anything was done!  Perhaps another ruse by the Wilkies to stop HBC from issuing a CPO!  If HBC had any balls instead of dodgy councillors, they could have rid the town of the Wilkies eyesores long ago!

They never got the domes money out of Morton and never got him to pay his business rates. Wasn't something like 85% of the business rates that were written off down to Morton?

The Wilkies ran rings around the council over the Longscar and yet they still gave them planning permission to build houses at Hart Reservoir. You just know that some sort of deal has been done here....the council (us) foot the built to refurbish the Shades and then, taking a leaf out of Morton's book,  the Wilkies fold the company that owns it and no money is paid back.

If it worked for Morton (which it did several times) it will work for the Wilkies.

s**t happens when the town is being run by imbeciles.
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

It's all down to an established national party with a rock solid base of support being taken over by people who would be unelectable by any other process. Power given  to squandermaniacs, people who couldn't manage a paper round.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Yep, you have summed it up perfectly Craig........HBC, Cranney and his Re-Gen committee were custom fitted with velvet lined donkey's ears by the Wilkies over the Longscar...hee haw hee haw hee haw.
