We've let this ride because it serves as a good example of how the system simply doesn't work as people believe that it should.

Wilcox did over £2,000 of damage to Peter's property and after doing everything to try and get out of paying up she was eventually ordered to pay £5 a month for the next 33 years which I very much doubt she will pay. That was just for the damage but she left owing both rent and council tax.

She also used Peter's name (and his wife's) to order another £2,000 of goods from Littlewood's leaving Peter to receive the letters for non-payment. The goods were mainly Christmas presents, Tablet computers, Game Stations, Mobile Phones, Clothes. It's called Identity Theft but Littlewood's decided not to pursue Wilcox because the cost of doing so would be higher than the £2,000 loss; the Police decided that they couldn't pursue it either unless Littlewood's made a complaint.

Then we have a second tenant whose rent was funded by taxpayers but who chose not to pass that rent on to the Landlord but to spend it on other things.

There's nobody here, other than Peter, who is prepared to make the effort to pursue wrong-doers simply on the grounds that it's the right thing to do: not the Council for lost housing benefit, not the Police for a straight forward case of Identity Theft and not Littlewoods for a blatant case of fraud - everyone has excuses not to bother themselves.

The system is f**c*** - pure and simple.

PeterF is a victim in this, firstly having to deal with Wilcox and all the s***e she brings to the table and now this other tenant doing a runner.
If he was a loan shark I'm sure his problems with said 2 above would have been sorted a long time ago and not dragged openly through courts or advertised very clearly on here!!!
