I note the current 'heated debate' over plans to build houses near Lealholm Road. From the reaction to this and other planned builds I gather that most people would prefer the 'Problem Tenants' all be crammed into the town centre terraces so they don't have to deal with them.
Whatever happened to the concept of sharing life's burdens?

The problem is that if 10 wards  block all 'affordable housing/problem tenants  then why should 2 or 3  wards then get most of these people 'dumped' in them by default.

l   let me guess you don't  have problem tenants where you live    if so then there isn't  a  problem

13 want to build in Leaholme Road, formerly Keith Road which had a bad reputation. I really don't see anybody wanting to move there in all honesty. So who is going to move in?
There's talk of them being affordable homes. If that was the case, the only thing worse than renting one would be buying one.
That said, I had dealings with it from 1989 to 96 and found it easier too handle than some of the more desirable areas of town.
