As in Birmingham council, under Lin Homer, postal votes are VERY susceptible to alteration, coercion or loss.
People must realise that in this town, vis-a-vis the various aspects of dishonesty and ineptness that have taken place by 'officials', we can NOT trust the postal system.
Therefore if you use that system to cast your vote, cancel it and walk the couple of hundred yards to the polling station.
Your vote may still be 'got at' but at least you are reducing the chances.

I believe all nursing homes and the like ought to have a letter sent (by law), stating the code of conduct for elections.
e.g. A voter's signature or mark must always be their own.
It is an offence to exert, or attempt to exert undue influence on someone to vote one way or another.
People involved in the election (Cllrs etc.) should not touch or handle anyone else's ballot paper. If assistance is requested, the voter MUST be directed to a family member or returning officers staff for a 'home' visit.
Cllrs must NOT be handed ballot papers to take to the civic centre! Etc. etc.

The owners and managers of these homes ought to be made aware of their 'duty of care' to their residents.
THEY are committing an offence by failing in this respect.
Will our town EVER move forward? I feel very negative about it.  :(
