If the Migrants change route so will their asylum hostels etc

There was an article a while back about housing in Hartlepool and East Durham not being fit for purpose and they were debating on selling them off for a quid each. Something tells me that won't happen because it would provide housing for migrants claiming asylum even if they are nothing more then economic migrants.

Locals will lose out again and the area will go FURTHER  down the tubes!

It's heartbreaking to see these desperate people risking their lives as they search for a safe place to call home. Yvette Cooper is not normally someone whose opinions I value, but I think she had a point calling for an exception to the normal rules to apply to these poor souls. A news article recently stated that if every local authority/borough took in just ten families the UK could assimilate 10,000 - surely we owe something to these people on simple humanitarian grounds?
