Interesting - word has it that Middlesbrough Council is rife with 'issues' which echo HBC. Difference in this case is that someone's acknowledged the problem & acted on it.

My reading of the situation was very clear, Dave Stubbs decided who would take over from him. The SCAB's may have gone through the motions but in my opinion Stubbs had earmarked her for the job.
I think the bottom line was they all knew what they were getting.
