I had an appointment for 3.25pm to see a consultant today on arrival went to reception they directed me to the E.N.T. as it was just around the corridor.

A nurse took my letter and asked me to take a seat. within 5 minutes I was called in the specialist examined me, explained in detail what the operation consisted of and how long my expected stay would be at James Cook.

Here I am putting the post on here back home at 4.00 pm

BRILLIANT SERVICE FROM A FIRST CLASS HOSPITAL.

Maybe you should email that info to Alan Foster, to let him know what kind of service "Our Hospital" provides......... Cos it would appear that him & the rest of the QuangoTwats that run our service have a different opinion to you & the rest of us in Hartlepool.

Looking back, what a mistake it was for Hartlepool Hosital Trust to merge with that of North Tees. Like someone else said, I forget who, nothing of any good has ever come from closer ties with Teesside (or something very similar)

My wife was referred to North Tees Emergency Assessment Unit by her GP last Monday. She was advised that she would be admitted for tests. We arrived at 11:00 AM and she was seen by a nurse at 12:30. She had x-rays and various other tests for 45 minutes. At 13:30 the the nurse advised that her bed had been given to an elderly lady who was a more urgent case. My wife had chronic stomach pains and was not offered any pain killers or refreshment. After a further 3 hours she had still not been seen so she went to the nurse station and complained. 10 minutes later A nurse advised that she was being discharged and that if the symptoms continued she should come back. "we just cannot cope" was the excuse. The next day she  got a phone call from North Tees advising she should attend Hartlepool Hosptal asap. Her appointment is tomorrow. We are continuously told that there are no appointments avaiable at Hartlepool general
