It doesnt matter what sort of state the country is in..... If this comes in to force it may well take us to the brink of revolution ;)

"Catering students put their aprons on yesterday as they spent the day practicing how to prepare potato-based dishes safely"

I've not been on a potato safety course, can I still mash my spuds without goggles ?

If they haven't banned cigarettes, they have no chance with chip pans.
I don't believe it.

Old style chip pans are a serious fire problem. The bulk of the  injury is caused to/by drunks coming home from the pub and putting the pan on the stove and  then falling asleep.
I expect UKIP would  run a campaign to save the chip pan given it is mainly a male drinking-related issue.
The well oiled become the victims of well heated oil!

Ban alcohol if it is only drunks that burn their house down  :P
