Dozens of Police are raiding the take-way at the top of Milton road(on York Road) and the one next to the Post Office on Raby Road. Both places are jam-packed with coppers. Someone serious going on because they have dogs as well.

We'll no doubt hear what's what in due time. If the Mail's reporting it we may even find out before November's out ...

Hardly so - none of us have a clue what it is actually about. No names - no pack drill.

Police attended three takeaways in Hartlepool on the evening of 23 November 2019 as part of Operation Sentinel with assistance of partner agencies targeting serious and organised crime activities in the town.
The Hartlepool Community Safety Team with assistance from the Operational Support Unit, Dog Support Unit and Roads Policing Unit carried out visits in conjunction with officers from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Trading Standards, Immigration Enforcement and Cleveland Fire Brigade at three shops located on York Road and Raby Road at 5pm on Saturday evening.
An amount of tobacco was seized from addresses on both York Road and Raby Road by HMRC.
Immigration Enforcement officers carried out checks on workers at two shops on York Road finding that four staff were potentially working in the UK illegally. This could result in a £20,000 fine per illegal worker unless the employers can demonstrate appropriate right-to-work checks were carried out prior to employment.
A misuse of drugs warrant was also executed at one of the premises on York Road however no drugs were seized.
The Morons seemed to have gone but so have the normals.....
