Quote from: mariewilsonshe is already working on local initiatives to encourage more women into politics and is undergoing national training with the Labour Party on women in leadership roles.

very nice I'm sure
so apart from furthering her own cause and visiting dogs homes with mediocre mike
what has she actually done for the ward she is supposed to represent?

I live in the ward
the litter is just as bad
the road gullies are still blocked
I have never seen a gully sucker in the area in the years I have lived here
the anti-social behaviour is just as bad
the pavements are still a death trap
the dog sh*t is just as bad if not worse
so what has actually changed ??????
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. If they're anonymous two years down the line, draw your own conclusions.
An independent minded Councillor of any party will get my support, a nodding dog my contempt.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.
