Reading in tonight's Mail, SAB says that Dave Stubbs was the right person for the job. Apart from the fact that he appears to have been the only person allowed to apply for the job, it made me wonder why he didn't get in before Nicola Bailey. When someone who was previously the second choice becomes the first and only choice, doesn't that suggest the bar has been lowered?

I bet he is counting the days until collecting his final salary pension, I know I would be in his shoes.

It also allows one of his chums to replace him on £120,000 per annum.

I bet the Civic Centre is full of Chinese Whispers right now but I would guess Stubbs will get to pick his own replacement.

yeah it'll be his team mate Graham Frankland going from £80000 to £120000.

I would have thought it would be his deputy..Ms Ogden.
Although, the chief exec had a deputy and HE didn't get the post.
What a strange place.
