"A number of protests including a "Day of Rage" are being held to coincide with the Queen's Speech. The Day of Rage demonstration, organised by Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary (MFJ), will see protesters march to Downing Street at 1pm on today as they aim to "bring down the Government".

Referencing the Grenfell Tower fire and "brutal austerity, cuts and anti-immigrant attacks", the description on the MFJ event page reads: "Politicians and many community and religious leaders will be looking to divert our rage and fury into inquiries, investigations, reports, court hearings, and parliamentary processes. "We will not accept those brush-offs and diversions, we will not settle for less than the destruction of May's coalition of austerity and bigotry - we must bring down this government."

Some of Mr Corbyn's friends seem to have a problem with the word 'democracy'
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

When the Daily Mail run a story on this and don't bring Corbyn into it then you know you are out on a limb

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4624626/Day-Rage-protesters-march-Parliament.html

Meanwhile a Tory friend of Mrs May was so  miffed of her leaders cringing attempts to show empathy she put out a photo of Hitler meeting his public in a pathetic attempt to disparage Corbyn

This seems to be the new style of politics ever since the Scottish referendum and the Brexit referendum,if you end up on the losing side just throw your toys out of the pram and stamp your feet and have a tantrum and thcream and thcream until you are thick. One side lost the other  won get over it .Go into the corner and sulk until you can have another vote. Grow up and stop behaving like babies just accept democracy,.

Inspector Knacker

I find this inability to accept a result ( and I've had to accept some recently) disturbing.

Not half as disturbing as those who were gleefully expecting a Corbyn/Labour wipe-out and refuse to accept that result.

Private Eye is out today. Looking forward to seeing how they deal with it given their 'prediction' a fortnight ago.

The only people I see cwying

are those who wanted Hard Brexit and/or a Labour wipe-out.

Does it really matter?

It seems it does as it keeps being brought up.

Topcat

Seems to matter more to mk1 than most other people since he is the one with the dummy out of his pram.

Incorrect. I did not invest my credibility in a Labour wipe-out/Government so I am not 'put out' in any way. I did try and caution against the 'death-of-Labour' euphoria/predictions here by pointing out that the Polls showed their support climbing  by the day but no one listened.

A bit like baiting the Corbyn hates by reminding them how wrong they were and showing the  practical results from  May's catastrophic miscalculation of the mood of the voters.

This election result is also a hard and very well deserved kick in the face for the Mail, Sun and other toxic reactionary propaganda rags. The outcome has seen them lose much of their power. Social media and people power has finally usurped the oppressive, deeply malign influence of Murdoch, Dacre and the Barclay brothers and the unadulterated crap that fills their titles.

You know the tide has changed when The Daily Mail is openly pushing for a soft Brexit and  Katy Hopkins starts talking sense.

Please troll me again so I have another excuse  to get the message across

He came a creditable second. Not a close second.
It's all about the maths .

You pinched that from May.  The walking corpse who has ended her political career by underestimating Corbyn.

About the 'maths'. Who exactly are you responding to with that?  I see no one claiming Labour won so I presume  you are repeating the mistake of  Alonso Quixano and his 'thirty or forty hulking giants'

Inspector Knacker

No.
You criticise everyone for underestimating and slagging off Jeremy, then you do the same thing to his opponent.
It's a self perpetuating cycle. They're politicians, actors on a stage, water off a ducks back to them.
Hardly worth getting worked up on their behalf. It's Punch and Judy in human form.
