I go to Grayfields ever Sunday morning to watch the football. At 10:32 a player from 3 Lions Sportsbar suffered a broken tib & fib. The ambulance was called immediately but did not arrive until 11:00. It came from Middlesbrough.  The paramedics worked on the patient until 11:30 when they whisked him off to some wonderful hospital on Teesside. At 11:45 a player from Lanchester Cricket Club, who were playing Rovers Quoit, suffered the same injury. The ambulance didn't arrive until 12:50. This is absolutely shocking when we have a perfectly good hospital 400 yards away. There are only 2 ambulances based in town and this is due to be cut back to one before the end of the year. Something has got to be done.
