After all, they shouldn't be too difficult to beat in an election if what you post here is to be believed.

Funny how things need charging at the vital moment.

Standing for election is all very good for those who wish to. Sadly the infestation of political parties in local elections rather makes it a pointless exercise because the dimmest of the dim can join a party and get elected. This due to the fact that a sizeable percentage of the electorate are even dimmer and vote for the label not the candidate and it applies to all parties. They are unable to vote for any other party due to a genetic inability to do otherwise, thinking is avoided and the sort of candidate  chosen  would lose if they stood unopposed, wins because of the security  blanket of the party.
It's particularly difficult in our own because we don't know which party is which. In my eyes we don't have a Labour Party or Conservative Party, but we do have a three monkeys party who see, hear and say nothing.
