went down there today with the daughter and new grandchild and parked in one of the designated Parent and Child bays whilst she took the bairn in i noticed the number of Blue Badge holders who parked in the parent and child bays, i asked the parking wardens who came round if they would be ticketing the blue badge holders who were parked in designated parent and child bays and was amazed to find out that they are not enforceable and basically anyone can park in them as long as they either display a ticket or a blue badge. what the chuff is the point of them. there are several disabled bays which even if you pay you cannot park in without a blue badge so why should the parent and child bays be any different. they are wider to allow for the child seat to be easily removed from the car.
surely for equality if designated bays are to be ignored surely it should then become first come first served for all bays.

And we all know you don't have to be disabled to have a blue badge.
