If nobody is being paid then who is responsible should a legal matter arise ?

...and where did all the money go if there are no wages to pay ?

The cynical use of 'Volunteers' by some councillors, who pass it off as a service to the community is tantamount to employment abuse...... the lure of training and qualifications is nothing more than an excuse for cost nothing 'workers'............ it's funny that those self same councillors don't do "owt for nowt"...... there is always something in it for them.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

Do you have some available free time to volunteer, we are currently setting up the gardening project to help people who are elderly and unable to maintain their garden. The project could generate ongoing business opportunities and/or employment opportunities.

It is due to start in April, with the project to last till around October, any volunteers within the 16-29 age range would be able to benefit from our Youth Employment Initiative for various training courses, employment opportunities, job search, CV writing etc.

The intention is not only to make beneficiaries work ready but offer young people who are NEET or at risk, opportunities to access additional career choices, learning in a working environment will inspire people to succeed, activities include work experience on community projects, training and exploring ideas in enterprise and opportunities directly linked to their skills identified through initial and ongoing assessments.
