Wonder how Wells reacts to this given the mad-long rush to build. At least Highways England seem to have their heads screwed on the right way by recognising what are probably the 3 most dangerous junctions on the A19.

Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

The sensible way would be to close both access roads onto A19 at Elwck and build a road to the A179 and build a cheaper junction there. A much safer option.

The safest option would be to make a proper assessment of the towns housing needs, the constant swallowing up of greenfield sites will slowly but surely turn central Hartlepool into a rundown ghetto.

In the meantime, we still have the situation were the abandonment of the original town plan becomes more & more incomprehensible, there are 2 serious questions that the people of Hartlepool need answers to.

1) Why was the original town plan ditched & how much has it cost the council tax players  ?

2) Why are the LabTor Mob so keen on the amalgamation with Tees Valley ?

C Akers Belcher is 1 of a small number of people who could answer those questions, he has the opportunity to do so next Thursday.

This might be a simplistic view but I don't think they should be allowed to build houses on green belts while we have land stood empty around the town, the marina, brenda road area, seaton carew etc....then again they are building 4 bedroom executive hoes with a view across fields...until they build in front of them.
