Today is the day of the meeting with Jeremy Hunt with the two A-Bs, Loynes, Thompson and Dawkins (don't know if there's a UKIP bloke going) off on the Grand Central to the smoke.

This is a joint delegation, or was meant to be - but not 'joint' enough for the two A-Bs and Loynes to share the same train as those horrible opposition councillors.

The two A-Bs normally use the two first-class passes that HBC has and presumably Loynes went for the free cup of tea as well as the three of them all boarded the 9 o'clock train. The opposition rabble were booked onto a later train in economy class, of course.

There's nothing like a unified approach to these things.  ::)
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

Isn`t 1st Class a bit of an anomally for Socialists who Stand Shoulder to Shoulder with their fellow workers...... I mean if they were "True Socialists" instead of "Pretend Socialists" the 1st class tickets would have gone into a hat & been drawn out on a 1st come 1st served basis.

One would have thought a three hour train journey could have been an opportunity for the SCAB's to have built bridges with Paul and Keith.

Perhaps they had a tete a tete planning with Shighty before hand.  Paul Thompson was just on Radio Tees, I'm glad he'll be there to report back the meeting honestly.

Anybody know if they had day returns? Or are we expected to pay for them to take in a show, a meal and a hotel?

Or even a twilight stroll around Hampstead Heath.
