As many have doubtless seen, this little community of wildcats & the cabins where they've been based has been devastated. If anyone can help in any way this would be well appreciated by all involved. Gnasher (the youngest wildcat) has regularly featured on the Post. Every little bit of support helps. On a practical level, please take a look at the description of a fundraiser & chip in if you feel able to do so. Every little helps ... A link to the Gofundme page is beneath the description.

'This community of like minded people is in danger of closure after more than 70 years. Cabin Owners have been presented with an increase of rent from £4,000 to £17,000 an increase of 325% per annum. Hartlepool Borough Council has termimated the lease of the Cabin Owners. (ending February 2018) Hartlepool Borough Council will not enter into new lease and that ended in 23 April The cabin owners paid £700 on 23rd April to move cabins and were advised by HBC. By that night after the crane has left we were told most are still not in safe land. We need at least one more day with a crane to move into two separate parts. On one without planning yet we are told to take roofs off or flat pack. We need a surveyor to tell us where we can place them or they will be removed by HBC in skips. We need money for all this and we're asking people to donate even just a small amount . Thank you.'
