As most will be aware of the incident regarding someone trying to take a dog away from it's owner on Thursday morning 'unsuccessfully' I might add in the North Cemetery Hart Lane. Police have asked for witnesses to come forward.

Yet just the week before this incident two little charmers around 14 / 16 years of age had a stainless steel axe hacking away at one of the carvings then yelling at the top of their voice waving the axe at me.

I telephoned 999 expecting rapid response....It turned up 15 minutes later.

One P.C.S.O on his bike sweating buckets and out of breath asking me. Any idea where they've gone mate. I pointed towards Duke Street he replied I'll check Stephen Street. Why wasn't a police car sent when I phoned in. Lack of resources Mate. ...Bye
