The Northern Echo Friday 29th April page 60. Councillor swore at staff in 'melle' at the town hall.

Cllr McAloon said he threatened and shouted and swore personal work related abuse at other councillors and members of staff, and asked friends to post abuse about the leader Ian Geldard. He also complained about the Mayor.

Governance Solicitor Clare Burrows said Cllr McAloon's behaviour did cross the line. The County Council found no breaches of the councils code of conduct, and concluded no further action be taken.

It would seem that this sort of behaviour is now becoming prevalent in not only ours. But in other council's.

Didn't a local councillor not a million miles away tell somebody at a residents meeting to 'eff off' quite recently?

I'm told he was chairing the meeting at the time.
