The Evening Gazette has been asking Teesside MPs hope they will vote today on the Syrian bombing but guess what - no phone call to Ian Wright who it obviously doesn't regard as a 'Teesside' MP. This is something I've noticed many times and I think it's fair to say that it is generally the case that Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar etc do NOT regard Hartlepool as being part of Teesside. That only seems to happen when the extra 96,000 population Hartlepool brings to the pot can help further some pet project of the real Teessiders.

Of course they don't class us as part of Teesside and we don't regard ourselves as Teessiders, but we're talking about the mindset of local politicians with 'visions' and 'dreams' so it's a case of carry on regardless to a future of bright sunlit uplands, in their dreams.
We're there to bulk up  the numbers, there'll be nothing in it for us and end up as we ended up in Cleveland, spectators, looking through the window at the party we'll never be invited to.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.
