As predicted on this site more than two years ago, the Hospital Trust has sold the land lined up for the phantom Wynyard Hospital back to its original owner Chris Musgrave.

Expect the planning application to re-designate the land for housing in a matter of weeks with both Musgrave and the Hospital Trust taking a slice of the profit made by re-designating the land for housing. In return, the Hospital Trust/CCG will relocate services currently being provided in One Life back to what remains of Hartlepool Hospital allowing Labour to claim to have brought services back to the hospital.

It was all planned months ago......

Good Spot by the Post...... But will Calamity Cwis be able to claim any credit "If" there isn`t a fully restored & fully functioning A&E Department in the deal ?

Despite the good intentions of thousands of people I don`t think full services will ever return to Holdforth Road, it will be a partial return of some services that have been moved to NT,

1 thing is for certain, there are a number of individuals going to make an awful lot of money out of this "Backtracking Move" by the NT & Hartlepool Mis-Trust.

The CCG contract for One Life is up for renewal - they just move it to the lower floor of the Hospital. Of course, this means that the money spent on the Urgent Care part of the One Life will have been totally wasted but .........

There is one good thing......thanks to the Mail we have the elusive picture of Wrighty beaming away at the symbolic ground breaking ceremony for the hospital that never was in 2010... wonder why he looked so pleased ? ::)
