Unbelievable ............ No overt mention of the bulk of the money being used to cover the purchase of Jacksons Landing... until my comment beneath it.

The bit missing in the Mail article - actually one of the bits - is CAB's statement at the F&P Committee Meeting that he was not only Chair of the Finance and Policy Committee but that he was 'Leader of the Council' and as such it was his right to make the decision where the money would be spent. Lilley's problem was not about where the money should be spent but that he thought  the full council should be given the opportunity to debate what best to do with the money. As it stands, the full council will only be given the chance to rubber stamp what CAB has already decided.

Anyone remember the bit about the Committee System would be more democratic than having an elected Mayor?
