Do the buses stagecoach etc run independently or do they receive funding or are they contracted to provide the service from the Council to provide the service ?
Didn't HBC completely cut bus subsidies some years ago?

For some reason I thought HBC paid the bus companies a lump sum to provide a service in the town, the bus companies fixed the timetables ?
