well it's taken a while and up until now HTH has been left to carry the baton on it's own but FINALLY the Hartlepool Mail has acknowledged the Owton Manor problem - mind, I suppose you could say the same about HBC.

A few questions for Cranney to answer:

• Why did Marj's Scrutiny Report falsely claim that Manor Residents offered a 'unique' connected care service?
• Why did CAB wrongly blame the Charity Commission for the discrepencies in the accounts of Manor Residents?
• Why has he resigned as a Director of Who Cares? (NE)
• Why did he recently refuse to sign a cheque for several thousand pounds and ended up having a major row with Angie over it?
• What does he know about bed matresses?

we live in hope that councillors finally are prepared to get to grips with this though it sounds like council officers are part of the problem and are trying to brush it all under the carpet.

Cranney was involved in the council security scam that went belly up about 10 years ago, he's unfit to run a company.

It would be interesting to see where the £600,000 went as they are all supposed to be volunteers.
