It appears not everybody thinks that pill boxes are just an inconvenience to housing developers.

As a kid, mam and dad used to regularly drag the whole family along the golf links path to Crimdon on a Sunday - sorry, they used to spend 'quality time' with their children in the fresh air - the route was festooned with various pill-boxes and tank barriers, sadly mostly all gone now. It was a long walk up the North Sands from the Headland. Can you imagine anyone doing that with their kids now?
