The trouble with lies is that once a person has told one, the second becomes far easier and so on until eventually the habit becomes so routine that the person telling the lies no longer has any contact with the truth.

No sooner had we revealed CAB's plans to claim the regular underspends on the budgetted amount for councillor allowances towards Labour's claimed £1m 'savings', he was on the Twittersphere boasting just that. The problem is that those underspends would have still existed even if the town had voted to keep the elected Mayor position and so can't in any way be claimed to be a direct consequence of the town voting to do the opposite.

It's a lie invoked to try and dig Labour out of the s**t caused by a previous lie - and so it goes on.

A sign of things to come.
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

More a case of "Pinocchio" Than "Orville"...... Telling lies appears to be the norm for members of "The Mob"
