Today's evening Chronicle is hailing Freddie Shepherd the ex-NUFC Chairman for bringing 400 jobs to his Tyneside Facility.

Oddly enough 150 of these jobs are for JDR Cables, is this an expansion, or does it signal the death knell for the Hartlepool facility, bearing in mind the Tyneside facility is set to become a centre of excellence in the offshore windfarm industry.

The visionaries didn't see that one coming

JDR Hartlepool have much better facilities for spooling cable. bigger berth and not as restricted as Walker.
