6% Council Tax Increase on the Way

If I'm following the news right, 4% of this will be a social care precept. Somehow I just can't see this lot keeping their hands off it.

It's just a game to these fools. Cut out the dead wood throughout the council and stop wasting money.

If the current trend continues you could work 24/7 and still not earn enough to cover bills. Its not rocket science. Time for elected members to show a recent proven track record of gainful employment and do away with freebie allowances, which will probably increase again to cover their proportion of council tax increase. That is to say, coucil tax payers ( via gainful employment) pay for their propotianate increase, they actually pay, well err, hmm, nothing, its a ten from Len, strictly speaking.
