Will the PM save us from an elected Teesside Mayor

It looks as though the PM will reverse Osbourn's policy and scrap elected Mayors for the newly created super authorities.

Will this save us from a Teesside Mayor? If yes she has done us a favour. Haven't seen an alternative, proposed leader. If it has to be a non-politico, business oriented leader there could be hope that a Teesside authority would work. Particularly if it could curb the excesses of HBC.

If this is the case, it will be interesting to see what the Larbour Party's escapees, such as Burham, will do.
