It's not a Pay Rise; it's an 'Incremental progression'

So Councillor Dave has finally received his pay rise incremental progression - another few pounds on his final salary pension. Would anyone like to guess how common it is that anyone in the private sector receive automatic, annual increments on their salary quite separate from any cost of living pay increase?

I'm not at all surprised Andrew Atkin defends it - his own must be about due!

"The growing pay gap between the top and bottom" especially between Mr Prentis' salary + pension + benefits and the members who pay it.

This is`nt intended as trolling at SRMoores comments, i do tend to agree with him on this particular issue of certain union leaders pay.

But i can still vividly remember Cllr R Martin Wells & his fellow ConLab councilors backing their labour bedfelllows over the ratepayers funding of HBC`s full "Time Unison Official"

There was much Tut Tutting & Guffaws amongst members of the public when the councilor came out with that little peach.

I don't believe most people would support the present cosy arrangements.
