Noticed the planning application for 189 homes on Oakesway Trading Estate and another 500 at Middle Warren.
Urban sprawl is apparently a lucrative business for 'the few'.
In my gormless naivety, I thought Oakesway was for light industry. Unlike other places, who prepare starter units to meet the needs of business, we seem to excel in stagnation and apathy.
The town is turning into a huge housing estate, a feeder town with developments elsewhere.
Is that our role in the Tees Valley as the start of the £55 m manufacturing base in Middlesbrough began today. We get some new pavements we didn't need, they get the jobs of consequence.
Suckered again.
The total amount spent on the redevelopment of the Waterfront site to date
is £107,777.24.
This includes the Waterfront masterplan, tourism study, public realm
design fees, site investigations and consultancy support
£70,890 has been funded by Hartlepool Borough Council and £36,887.24 from
the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

Where'd they find the money, been looking down the back of the settee? The 'Paupers' are constantly whining they have nowt, such a puzzle. :o
All they are doing with 'The Waterfront' is spending around £1.4 million pounds of public money tarting up a big concrete pad to try and attract a developer....
I can't help but think what a bunch of tw**s they would look if someone came along and purchased the whole site the week after they spend the £1.4 million on it, deep down even the SCABAL don't think they are going to be able to flog it on... ::) ::) ::)

That's before a shovel has even touched the ground...
I've had a really stupid idea. Why not let the mysterious prospective developer spend the money on tarting it up? The money can then be left in the giant whiskey jar with the word 'vision' on a label stuck on it?

Had the contents of the whisky bottle been imbibed? If so, could that have inspired the 'visions' ... double visions?

Some of the 'visions' could only be the result of imbibing screen wash.

What vintage?
In the 'Whine' Producers guide, it's referred to as 'Shat Oh (dear)' Egotistique 18. A cheeky non sparkling cocktail that's hard to swallow and that leaves a bitter aftertaste. Expensive to keep and can be temperamental if exposed to unsuitable conditions. Ideally used to remove flies from any windscreen but can be very corrosive if not immediately removed from anything or anyone it comes into contact with.
Farmers market cancelled because of the weather.
If only there was a large empty building for such occasions.
That's what get get with a forward thinking council......Well Raymondo's "Quick Flip" has finally happened..........Just not the "Bin Tin Shed" Quick Flip.
A quick flip to a quick flop.
