Paul Beck has just announced his resignation - by election to follow.

Knowing he was on the hit list he decides to jump and set up an election Labour might  (he believes) lose and thus teach the new kids a lesson.

Is one clique replacing another clique? Both  are variations of group think.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Has he legally resigned, was he legally a councillor ?

Untrustworthy puppet won't be missed by anybody.
I don't believe it.

Should it not be a double by election in Hart Ward as I'm led to believe that Jean Robinson is not well enough to carry out her duties as a councillor, as can be seen by her lack of attendance at meetings.

If I were Jewish I would be worried.

Even Billy Bragg is daring to say it out loud

When political party's start to think alike, speak alike and never doubt or question themselves, they've become a cult.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

"When political party's start to think alike, speak alike and never doubt or question themselves, they've become a cult."

Ah, had to adjust me glasses and re-read that again.  The last word was CULT.

Inspector Knacker

I was tempted, but it would need to be in the plural.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Beck has realized that his political career has final come to an end,  he must be disappointed that he'll never be a Freeman or an Alderman.

All of that and his reputation close to tatters.

DRiddle

He'll probably claim he was never legally a Councillor, never legally ceremonial mayor and never legally existed.

To be honest his public denial of his Trusteeship of MRA should have disbarred him from being Mayor, but in the warped minds of the LabMob they voted him in (even the 'good ones').......He then made a mockery of the Mayoral charity fund by giving half of it to his mate, the Boy in a Mans Body.

He was so far up his rectal orifice he spoke with an echo.....1 Lying Mayor gone, 1 Lying Mayor to follow and hopefully a Lying Leader.
