Preparing those who haven't yet twigged there's a council tax hike about to land on their doormats and secondly to make the excuses when the section 114 notice is given.
Anything with Kevin Cranney's name anywhere near it ultimately ends in bankruptcy. The council will be no different.

How many services get cut if you get rid of everybody over £100K and devolve the responsibility ?
The pair of them are living in a parallel universe, Ms Alexander is on £146k a year plus £22.5k pension whilst Cwistopher is earning who knows what ? but at least £34k leaders allowance, plus his salary from HW.
For them to continually harp on about government cuts whilst taking TVA grants (government money by any other name) is more than a tad hypocritical, they are still spending like it's going out of fashion on pisspotical vanity schemes....£300k on the Shades, £315k on a block of flats, both in Church Street and both needing refurbishment in the case of the Shades, substantial refurbishment.
It really is time for them to take took a "Long Hard Look" at the quality of the works that have already been undertaken with the £6million pounds spent on Church Street, Seaton Carew and Jacksons Landing.
Have they forgotten the costs of the numerous consultations, masterplans and non occuring Visions, the millions that have spent on a variety of CIC's managed or directed by some councillors, loss making cafe, replacement for brand new carpets, a big desk in the civic, gold medals, jolly jaunts on ex's.
Only in Hartlepool and Only Under The Dysfunction LabMob Council........
