The candidates for the Victoria ward by-election had their shout in the Mail last night, but the oddest of all was the Conservative clay pigeon. The last paragraph of a much reduced contribution was very revealing.
'Only Labour and Conservatives have any influence in decision making in Hartlepool. A vote for any other party will not help the residents in Victoria.'

Which begs a few questions, why would a Tory candidate promote an opposition party and place that party's name in front of his own party and why even mention them at all in what could be interpreted as a positive light ?
Talk of influence on the Tory part makes you question how a party that truly is a minority party could have any influence at all?
Too many Freudian slips in two brief sentences.

Had a quick scan of Princess Leia's adress to the nation and found myself rolling my eyes.
She says.  'It's easy to make empty promises about all the things we would all like '. You'll just have to adapt.
then,'Saving our beloved hospital from appalling cuts that we have faced at the hands of the current Government' Where do we start. The 'beloved' hospital cuts started under the last Labour government. As cut after cut to services happened till the 'beloved' hospital was a shell of its former self, what exactly did our local Labour politicians do? Our 'beloved' hospital was shafted long before the current government.
Unless of course you're refering to North Tees as our 'beloved hospital'.
Then, you refer to your ten years working with schools, hospitals, universities, our community and voluntary sector, doing what?

This is their downfall, they never research the background and appear with the same old bag of slogans. When tested, they have more hits falling of their case than a jelly on a pogo stick.
