Other than the 'we subsidise to keep a good working relationship with the union' aka 'we pay our protection money to the racket' there is no reason why any of the three Conservative councillors should oppose ending the subsidy.

I emailed Mr Drummond before Christmas to ask if the cabinet had looked at the budget allocated to the union as he said they would but I am yet to receive a reply.
