Title: Very slow shopping day..............
Post by: mk1 on December 22, 2012, 08: PM
I was in Birmingham and Derby today. Whilst at York I noticed there were far fewer people about than a normal Saturday. Derby was very quiet and the same in Birmingham. I was so struck by the lack of activity I asked some of the staff in shops if I was imagining it and they all said it was a slow day.
Odd for the last Saturday before Santa's birthday!

Morrison's this morning cars were bumper to bumper trying to get in the car park, it was jammed packed full yet a car park attendent was still letting shoppers in, despite having nowhere to park.

Maybe they all came from Birmingham / Derby!

'No' in all seriousness though it never fails to amuse me seeing people shop at Christmas, and do so like food is going to be in short supply, or even rationed. After all they're only closed  'one day'

SPEND. SPEND .SPEND.

Ever been to Billingham town centre? Most days are like this, regardless of what time of year it is. LOL
