Nah, never missed it one time, unwatchable now with their smug woke guests.

was still at work  :(
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

eddy

everyone who no longer shares my world view is "smug woke" lol

I feel we are becoming to polarised as a society, things like Brexit have done wonders for this, anyways am I being woke here?

Inspector Knacker

You've yet to wake up politically.
Woke, another fashionable bandwagon for the ardent believer in their own smug infallibility, not a good premise for for rational self appraisal.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

I thought it was a phrase used by the right, usually out of context, to degrade, devalue or insult the opinions of those who do not align with their own

It's certainly how it appears plays out in the press. The BBC are dammed either way, those on the left accuse them of being right and those on the right claim their are hand wringing woke lefty Marxist scum etc etc etc

Inspector Knacker

The right, the right , the right, blah, blah blah,  give it a rest.
It's a phrase in common use and the Urban Dictionary gives an excellent definition...' Self righteousness masquerading as enlightenment'.
If the cap fits ......

can be dismissed without proof.
